body pump classes?

Has anyone tried out this weights class and got results?
I am currently trying it 3x p/w - its 1 hr and quite intense, just wondering if you think it would help reduce bf% instead of doing a heavy weight low rep split routine?

Although it sounds funny, I have tried a body pump class and I thought of it as a bit overtraining - over 70% heartrate. I would suggest mixing up a split and body pump if you like the class.
