LOW CARB diets - not no carb..

hi girls...is anyone on a low carb (not NO carb) diet? I have been told by a endocronologist that i have to increase carbs slightly and decrease exercise - as im appearently overdoing it; which is why my periods have stopped.

I would say low carb 50-100 carbs per day woulds till work well as a diet - especially as a switch over - lowGI of course.

Mr X - If someone were to eat 50-100 grams of low insulin index (II) carbs/day, would they need to carb load, and if so, how many carbs should they load with? This is assuming an exercising person, naturally.

I played with going pretty low in carbs this week (30-50 grams) to see what impact it would have with hormonal water retention - not only did it work well (down in weight slightly, instead of my normal 2-3 lb increase), but I also have a lot of energy. I recently switched to evening training sessions and have gone into the lifts just feeling drained after long days of work. This week, I've gone into the lifts feeling pretty energized; I don't normally eat that many carbs (75-150 grams), but it's interested how my energy levels have reacted to this drop in carbs.

BTW - my fat intake has gone up to make up the difference in calories; I didn't want to change calories, just carbs for water retention relief.
