Iud

Does anyone on here have an IUD..... or ever tried one.

I am unable to take estrogen or progesterone as it cause migranes and horrid side effects, (sleeplesness, weight gain, bloating, cramping.....)
My OB-Gyn has suggested an IUD but I do not know anyone that has ever had one and am wondering if any of you do and what you think of them.

I don't have an iud, but i've heard great things about them, and plan to try it out if i get sick of the hassle (haha) of getting a depo shot every three months.

iud's are great cuz there's no hormonal wackiness like with the pill, but the downside is that they are very difficult to remove (apparently it takes about 5 minutes to insert, and 30 minutes to remove).
