Just a little monthly rant...

Today I'm doing a field trip with the kids for school. As luck would have it my period shows up. Grrrrrrrrrr! The first day is usually really bad for cramping and I usually wind up spending most of the day in bed with a heating pad loaded up with anti-inflamatories and muscle relaxants. I so wish I could cancel out on this field trip today! I can't wait for the day I don't have to deal with this anymore.

I here yah puddles. Pre kids my period wasnt that bad. I would only cramp the first day and never had bloating or PMS.
NOW....fooogedaboudit, my lucky self gets it ALL and sometimes I get to cramp for like 4 days, YAY!!!!!!
I swear to god I am getting a whirlpool roman bath tub in the master bathroom. I don't know who the retard is who decided just a shower would do.

Well, I'm finally in bed with the heating pad and took my meds (muscle relaxant and a vicodin). Fortunately the cramping held off for most of the day. Since I went on HRT (progesterone on days 14-28) my periods are more painful for the first 2 days but they are much lighter and by the 4th day it's pretty much gone. The water retention is worse, about 8 lbs, and my boobs blow up a full cup size. Monthly zits are pretty much gone. Overall it's better than it was before.

My daughter, Miss Socialite, introduced me to two other moms she knew I'd get along with and they also started their periods this morning. How ironic, huh? I really liked one of the moms and she told her son to get my number but we forgot. I definitely want to keep in touch with her, there aren't many moms at school that I really connect with. The other mom was more quiet but she works out so that was a plus.

The field trip was to the go-cart place in Tampa. I crashed into my daughter. LOL Man, it was so HOT! I wore my 60+ sunblock but my arms and chest still got a lot of color. Afterwards I had to meet up with my mom and Godmother for dinner...something I so wanted to cancel but I did the right thing and went. I got home, showered, put on my favorite pj's (Tinkerbell) and am settled in bed for the night. I gotta rest up, tomorrow is my friend's b-day party and we're going to the Hard Rock for dinner and dancing.
