Insulin on a CKD

Has anyone used insulin on a CKD or bodyopus type diet? I was considering it for the carb up day and was looking for comments or experience. Thanks.

i have never used insulin as of yet, but my understanding is that u constantly have to monitor u blood sugar not just when u shoot. i dont think u can just do some here and there, or once a week i think it is a consistent, and very mathimatical when it come to how much glucose u need to have to support ur body. just what i think. peace

Bruno, I appreciate the reply. However I disagree. I have achieved outstanding results using insulin only 2-3 days a week in the past. If you read Chad Nicholls insulin theory he advocates once a week dosing. With slin, more is not better. My question was specifically aimed toward someone who had used insulin during a carb up on a CKD. Thanks.

I actually asked this very question about 3 months ago. Mr. X actually said you could do it. It's kinda tricky though, I believe you want your blood sugar to drop back down before a certain point during the carb up day. Therefore you would be close to Ketosis again. I think you could probably do 2 inject. using R. It might be a good idea to get some more info from the X Man himself. Good Luck.

Thanks bro. I would be using Humalog, so I plan on getting in 3 injects.

I'm not by far an expert on these subjects... I do like using gear, but to tell ya'll the truth, I would NEVER f**k with insulin... there is too much of a chance of screwing up your entire endocrine system... if you go overboard with insulin, then your pancreas will start to reduce the amount of natural insulin your body makes, and in some instances, will never return to normal, then your blood sugar will remain sky high with "nowhere to go"... you don't want to be a diabetic the rest of your life for a little extra in the gym... take this for what it's worth... it's my opinion only, and ya'll know what they say about opinions... "Opinions are like assholes... everyone has one, and they all stink..." stay safe guys..

Hey medic, it's good to be scared of insulin. Because if your not it could f**k'n kill ya. But I'll tell ya what I have read about that theory. In order to shut your pancrease down you would have to continually take insulin for over a week. When I say continually, I am talking about taking an inj. every time the life of the prior inj. wears off. Therefore it is almost imposible to shut it down. Myself, I would use 1-2 injections per day on days that I train. But, there are other risks for sure. If you've got some scientific date to support your claims, I'm sure I would like to see them. Thanks for the input.

I don't know what you mean about "scientfic data" this is an opinion of mine, I've been working in the medical field for a while, and know a little something about anatomy and physiology of the body... I was giving the reasons of WHY I would never use insulin, and I don't know where you're reading, but your pancreas CAN become hyposecretory of insulin if you use it twice a day on workouts(considering you don't just go to the gym 1-2 days a week).. you have the right to do whatever you want to, as does everyone else on this board... however, if I see something that I can give an educated opinion about that can help any of my bro's here, I will.. I never knock anyone for anything, to each is their own... so do some research on pathophysiology of the endocrine glands...
