Sub-c or im inj. for insulin?

For those of you that have exp. with insulin which do you prefer? I read the great post that stk wrote on this matter in the greatest articles section where he mentions both and seems as if he recommends sub-c in the first part but seems as if he personally like im later on so what is the opinion of bros and sistas here?

that you go sub q. I.M. hits hard and fast. I would advise anyone who doesn't have a ton of experience with slin to go sub q.

I am relatively new to using insulin. I have tried sub q and IM injection methods. Ther is a notable difference between the two. IM hits hard and fast. My recomendation to anyone that uses insulin would be to inject subq until you get a good handle on timing and meals etc.

Could you not just go ahead and drink a post workout shake of 100gr. dextrose about 10 min. before im insulin shot? then sip on another 100gr. dextrose shake after shot? It seems after going from board to board that the exp. users seem to think the im inj. makes them harder instead of getting fatter...fact or fiction?? Let me know bros...

EXPERIENCED! lol. I tell ya, bro, people respond differently to different things. The method of injection isn't as important to avoiding fat gain as other factors. Take slin post workout after depleting glycogen, use a quicker acting slin, take your high GI carbs and quick absorbing protein right after and eat a solid low fat, high protein/high complex carb meal shortly after that. Avoid fat before and right after the slin.

Start off with low doses and work your way up. Know what the symptoms of hypo are and be prepared to deal with it. Do your reseach, learn how your body responds to slin, and be careful. There's a lot of guys out there that do crazy shit and live. Don't be too quick to follow their lead. At least get some experience under your belt before using I.M. injections. Personally, I just don't see the need for it.

I only used IM injects. But I also had everything prepared and safety was a first. Took 10iu and had my dextrose loaded creatine mix at my side. I waited a little bit to start going hypo so I knew what it felt like. Then I just started sucking down the dextrose and the hypo would alleviate, then come back a little and so on and so forth.

I did have my girlfriend by my side and I informed what I was doing and what she should do if I were to pass out/seizure or whatever.

I've read about some guys taking their slin at the gym right after working out and THEN going home to take in their shakes/carbs.

Bad idea right there. Traffic, car accident and you are facked.

I hope i did not give the impression i was going to even do insulin yet, i just wanted to see what all my buddies here had to say about the difference if any of im or sub-q insulin inj. my workout partner does insulin and i do plan on having someone around for the 4 hours after and a couple more carb drinks waiting in the fridge if i need them, if and when i do decide to do insulin, STK article covered all that to the "T", i just wanted more info. on sub-q vs. im inj., on anothere board they are pro im and i came back here..where i like to call home <img src="http://www.massmonsters.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif" alt="Wink" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:-->, and see if anyone had different opinions..so are there any difference except the fact that it hits you faster im <img src="http://www.anabolex.com/forums/images/smilies/help.gif" alt="Help" width="23" height="15"><!--graemlin::help:-->

Well, that's about it. But, it's a big difference. Like I said, it hits hard and fast. Get a little experience under your belt before going I.M. That's all I ask. I've never really liked slin that much. There has been times when that stuff made me feel hella nasty. For others, it's the best thing since sliced bread. Just be careful and take some time to guage how you respond to slin. Do that before getting too creative with how you administer it.

I think insulin is too dangerous to mess around with unless you are a Pro Bodybuilder. I just read an article about bodybuilders who have been using insulin for awhile (probably abusing it) that now have become diabetic. A perfect example of someone screwing around, and having serious consequences because of.
