How hi can 40-yo raise IGF-1 w/o HGH shot? Also, 1 HGH unit raises IGF-1 how much?

Wondering how much each unit of injected HGH tends to raise IGF-1 in people around 40. (I'm doing kind of a cost-benefit analysis trying to rationalize (or not) an injected HGH regimen.)

As part of that I'm also wondering:

How much do you think a 40-year-old with un-high IGF-1 levels (around 130, about 1/4 of max normal range) can raise IGF-1 using moderate training and OTC supplements like maybe arginine, etc.? Quite a lot, not very much? Etc. That is, vs. HGH shots meant just to nudge IGF-1 levels within physiologic range (say into the upper half of normal range).

In a guy 16-24 the 'normal' IGF-1 range (IGF-1 being a downstream measure of GH production) is 182-780 ng/ml. But for 40-54 year olds (men and women) the range is just 90-360. And I'm at 133.

Okay, if you are wanting normal IGF-1 levels for someone who is in their early twenties, you could do it with dieting and the way you work out. However, are you taking hGH? IGF-1 is available aside from hGH, but if you take hGH, you need other things to make the hGH give you the benefits of IGF-1.
