I DON’T WANT TO LOOK LIKE BODYBUILDER-WEIGHT TRAINING WILL GIVE ME A BULKY PHYSIQUE!
This misconception is a laughable one! You have to understand that building muscle does not happen by chance. You cannot expect to go into a gym do a prescribed exercise routine and expect to look like Mr. Olympia? Building muscle requires a committed decision to undergo high intensive workouts in order to force the muscles to grow. Muscle growth is not easy and this especially applies towards women.
Muscle growth occurs as a direct result of intense stress placed on a muscle. Muscle growth is therefore a direct result of adaptation to this stress. Having said that it is not easy as it may sound –you can’t even dream of entering a gym as a novice and expect to look like a professional bodybuilder-such a physical state can only be obtained with the aid of anabolic steroids. If you are drug free a more realistic body to expect especially for the males is Sylvester Stallone physique and slightly bigger.
Getting tremendously big without steroids is possible but certainly not on the scale of the Olympians and certainly not with the conventional voluminous workouts preached in magazines and personal trainers.
In short heavy intense weight training (performed the mind and muscle way) will give you a lean muscular physique in record time, one that will be pleasing to the eye and one that will be there to stay forever. . It is certainly the easiest way to burn fat even while you rest and gain lots of muscle.
