Body building is very dangerous and it is not for everyone!
This one is too general in its statement it seems like someone invented it with some bad experience in the weight-training field! As far as dangerous goes, everything we do is dangerous and involvers a fair amount of risk to go with it. Walking down the street is dangerous so is driving a car. We still do it though because it generates results we seek. You want to lose weight without daily aerobic and weight training workouts? Without diets and supplements? The reason why such, misconceptions exist lies with ignorance and a severe lack of education when it comes to weight training. Too many people enter the gym without knowing why and what they are doing, without educating themselves sufficiently. As such they undertake frequent voluminous workouts and use sloppy form in their exercise form, both of which lead to severe overtraining and then injury and in short a severe lack of any appreciable results.

High intensity body building is actually safer than the conventional voluminous workouts advocated in magazines, this is because you use maximum weights and intensity on each set. As such the weights used are heavy enough from preventing the muscles in generating too much force on a lighter set. When you perform a lighter set, you powerful muscles generate too much force that can take your ligaments and tendons by surprise, so despite what you may have heard, heavy intense training is safer than light training and not to mention far more productive (by leaps)
As to the claim that body building is not for everyone well, there exist no other way to build strength, lose fat and prevent bone mass lose than body building. There is a belief amongst the scientific community that humans begin to degenerate in muscle size and bone mass after the age of 25 and sometimes earlier. Would it not make sense to build abnormal levels of muscle and bone mass, so that when we lose mass we are still on the safe side. This applies to everyone including the elderly and especially women who have a higher tendency to get osteoporosis. Prevention is better than cure. Be aware before it is too late.
