Hello, I'm new. A little help is greatly appreciated

Hello,

I'm new here. I've been lifting for about eight months and have experienced very little increase in size. I've had three trainers partially as a result of switching clubs and I've increased my strength 20% but no size. Everything I've read says that the mose gains will come in my first three months.

My first trainer had me doing very intense prisoner squats, jumping rope etc. then followed by some weight lifting with no resting. He talked about trying to get the testosterone to kick in and the workouts were intense but I didn't get much in the way of results.

Anyway, I'm with another guy now how's very old school who's having me do three sets 8-12 and of much weight as I can as long as my form is okay but the routine stays the same.

Another guy I worked out with does 25 reps, three sets, lower weight of course and he tells me that I have to get strong before I can get big. All these guys totally disagree with each other and there's not even a middle ground. Everyone in my family is thin on both sides.

Nevertheless, I've been working out long enough to have gotten bigger so I'm here now. Where do I start and what do I buy and how much? My temperment is not great but I'm desperate because working out isn't going anywhere. Also, where do I buy it and is there any chance of losing my stuff in shipping? If I take the stuff and get bigger will I get smaller if I stop taking it even if I keep working out? Thank you, Phil

sounds like your trainers are a bit confused, hypertrophy (muscle growth) 8 reps.

Untrue my friend. Id say a good 4 months naturally you can get very strong and cut. But thats in world where diet and plenty of rest is obtainable. Plus being able to visit the gym ona regular basis with no intereference. Genetics plays a big role.

Im starting to wonder if people on this site take the easy way out by using gear. I kid man
