Too Much Fiber?

Is it bad to have too much fiber in one day? I have been having about 123-130 a day with all these super high fiber tortillas to lower carbs, and the Fiber One ceareal. Just wondering if there are any health risks with toomuch fiber? Thanks

...and your water intake is high you should be alright. I'd drop to no more than 50g of Insoluble(Psylium Husk, FibrousVeggies ,Iron-filings etc) and get the rest from soluble sources(whole grains,pectin,fruit&veggie pulps)

If you're cutting and fat intake is low, and you slip up on water intake a few hours, You CAN cause a BLOCKAGE.

If you wanna avoid having a nurse dig you out later, drop the Insoluble to a more moderate number

Yes it is bad to get too much fiber. It causes you to excrete nutrients before your body can absorb them.

There is a comfortable range of fibre. After that, you are wasting nutrients.

damn and I thought I shit alot if I took in 60g fiber a day... I can't imagine getting 2x that, let alone 3x....

What possible benefits does it hold taking in that much fiber?

There are no benefits. In fact, besides flexing the musckes of your colin, too much fiber is very bad for you.

I know fiber binds with fats and sometimes they are not absorbed by the body. My question is does anyone know what amount of fiber can bind with what amount of fat, for instance, you slip up one meal and eat 20g of fats, how many grams of fiber would you take with that meal to help move those fats through you without being absorbed?

The perfet food but it tastes like sh*t. MRE's are much better, but with the old military C-rations, you could eat that stuff and never have need for TP since it always came out perfectly clean and stain free.

Plenty of fiber is okay, but alot of the low carb foods that I have seen are filled with lots of protein that makes you fart like a methane bandit.
