Lemon Pepper Salmon

Ingredients:
1 Salmon Steak (market fresh or premade; if it is market fresh you will have to cut it in half to fit in your pan)
Lemon Pepper
1 Pan
Virgin Olive Oil (brand of your choice)


Directions:
1. If your Salmon steak has a layer of skin on it (and market fresh will and some pre-packaged do as well) you will need to take it off unless you preffer to eat the skin. The skin does hold some nutritional value, but I am not sure to what that value is.
2. Put your pan on the stove and put half inch to three quarters inch of virgin olive oil covering the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle some Lemon Pepper on top of the olive oil.
3. Turn the stove on med-high.
4. Wash the salmon steak with water.
5. Place the salmon in the pan, and rotating the salmon in the pan so that both sides of the salmon are covered with virgin olive oil.
6. Sprinkle Lemon Pepper over the steaks (enough to cover the top of steak completely, never measured it out...just eyed it)
7. Cook for 10-15 minutes (sometimes longer depending on stove and location/altitude), rotating every 3-5 minutes to keep from burning. Cook less if you like to your fish to have a little pink to them, longer if you like to have your fish done completely.

The virgin olive oil will be popping and flying at you, and can get hot enough to burn you a little, just as a precaution.. just like you were frying chicken...except there is not any flour involved here or any crisco... just healthy virgin olive oil, salmon, and a little seasoning.

I wish I could give you guys the protein and calories for everything, but I don't know any of it off hand here in London. If someone in the states could give me a hand I would appreciate it.
