Warm Baked Apples

[CHIQUITITA]

6 red delicious apples cored, peeled and quartered in chunks
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamen
1 tsp sugar (I use splenda)
1/2 tsp brown sugar (again, I use the splenda substitute)
1 tsp smart balance butter spread

Combine all ingrediants in bakewear glass container, cover with foil and toss in oven at 350 degree heat and bake for 30 min.

This dish will absolutely satisfy any sweet tooth.... plus if there is any saved over for the next day the the apples are wonderful served cold too!

a quick version...

Chop a medium peeled apple and put it in a microwave safe bowl. Add some all natural peanut butter (or splenda cinn/sugar blend) and give it a little stir.. then microwave. My micro takes about a minute on high, but my grandma's takes almost 2 minutes on high... so just check the apples - when they're soft, they're done.


I have found in the microwave butter isn't necessary, the apples juice helps blend the ingredients.
