Leg Press vs Squats

If he's going "ass to heals" lets check his lower lumbar in a few years... no reason to go below paralell... unless you really want to wreck your lower back.. if you need some help with the squats let me know.. might have some tips for ya, my hammies arn't great either.. but I can still push a little weight in the squat... let me know sis..

Leg Press Vs. Squat... there is no comparison. Squat is a 100x better exercise fot the development of your legs and entire body for that matter.

Not only are ATF squats therapeutic for the knee, but they help develop the stableizers in your hips and blasts your legs from a less mechanical angle. Leg Press puts an enormous amount of stress on the knees and really isn't the best "rehab" exercise... at least not at the higher weights.

To be honest, I think doing 20 squats at 135 is much more valuable than doing 5-10 reps on leg press at 800lbs or more.

I like to do leg presses first and then squat, this allows me to get a good workout and not have to use as much weight on the squat, I like mega12 was a powerlifter and it bothers my elbows to do the low-bar squat, i now squat with the bar high on the traps and squat down to just parallel or above with 315-365 after leg presses vs. starting with squats and going as high as 605X6 with low bar squats with knees wrapped and belt...also when squatting after leg presses i do not feel the need for the belt or wraps..just my .02

Yeah this dude pushes about 585 for reps. He's a powerlifter and a very big dude. Me on the other hand I'm just a little girl. No excuses but I plan on not being in pain all the time later in life or getting an unnecessary injury.
