I hear many of you guys know about explosive training, like sport specific training and was wondering what kind of programs/routines you guys would do to increase vertical leap/first step/overall quickness? Thanks!

things like squats, jump squats, lunges, explosive leg presses for muscle + power, and then you need to do a lot of plyometric and over speed training. Things like standing in one spot ant trying to jump as high as you can, and running with exagerated steps, trying to jump as far as you can with each step, running down hill, and running with a chute.. do everything as explosivly as possible..

Here's a cool one here...actually, two cool ones. I had a buddy, used to train with an old parachute doing sprints for a given distance...part of the sprint with the chute...and finishing by releasing for the second burst.

Also, an old one, but it DOES work. Sand bags on the ankles. Takes a few days to get used to it, but you'll feel like you're floating when you take em off.
