Default Lower Teardrop, need help!

I really need to put some mass on the lower part of my quads...It sucks becasue if I wear long shorts it looks like I have stick legs but once I pull my shorts up they are pretty thick...ANyone have any suggestions for building the lower quad? Killa?

Full range squats, front squats, hack squats, leg extensions, step ups. The front squats will really focus on the quads. Also with the extensions, try to pause the weight for 2-3 seconds at the top.

I split my leg training between powerlifting and bb on a 3 month rotation. I find that I get a minimal amount of growth during the bb cycles, but that when I switch to the powerlifting cycle the growth is almost immediate. During the pl cycle running September-December last year, my mid-thigh size went from 25" to 27".

Great advice from Finn. To target my vastus medialis I use Leg Ext.(with toes out), sissy squats, and leg presses (with your feet a little lower than normal on the plate). For total leg dev. Gotta Go with back squats, full range of motion, @ least top of thigh paralell with the ground in my opinion. Good luck

i find that by going deep like a little lower than paralell my lower quads take a pounding. so try all ur movents squats and leg presses deep

I too have the same problem, I have a nice big outter sweep, but my inner teardrop area is next to nun. I have been trying various foot positions to see if helps add to any improvment, + I have put MUCH more of an emphasis on Squatting in my thigh workouts, and using only compound movements, no extensions for me for awhile.

If I really focus in on the teardrop I can make it explode during strict lunges (with a narrow lunge) and then finnish it of with toe out leg extension. Concentrating mostly on top motion with a pause and tight contraction at the top. I can also hit my tear good on lateral leg sled with toes pointed out, narrow feet position. I think the biggest thing is the mind muscle connection.

Same problem with the shorts, but mine with the outer sweep cutting in to the knee. Think hvypl8s is right on too, plus everyone else actually (great board). I started, after reading somewhere (no idea), to concentrate pushing off from/through my heels, almost entirely with some movements. Great technique on the sled, squat press, hack, smith squat (a little tough on free squat or front squat unless going light), obviously not on extensions.

Not pulling balls of feet off platform/floor really but focusing on driving heels into surface. Better outer sweep but the teardrop really grew too and can get the contraction all the way through ab/adducter.

Started because of knee problems (seemed to rock onto balls of feet alot) but has paid off, which is good because angling the toes hurts knees too. My .02, FWIW.

Not true. The leg muscles are always going to be more responsive to growth than the dense calf muscle fibers.
