I think most people should say deads, because what other exercise can you play with so much weight.

i may take some crap for this, but the deadlift really isnt a power exercise. power=(mass X accelleration)/time. power is a function of speed, deads are more a strength exercise unless your cranking it off the floor with the type of speed youd perform a snatch with.

as for the best exercise for power, all the studies point to the snatch and it's variations. i prefer one arm kettle bell snatches.

i like old fashion full power cleans the best....its like a full body workout...and it kills my traps....
