I've heard many different views on workout frequency and recovery periods, via this forum, and I was interested to know your individual training days and your respecitve rest days. I'm on a 2 on 1 off, 2 on 2 off workout schedule.
I would be interested to know if any of you only work one bodybart per week, and if this has been an effective muscle/strength builder in your exercise program; or if you do a two day split, etc. Also, how often do you change your workout frequency as well as the workout exercises. personlly i work out six days, and rest on sunday. my goals are a little different than most on this site. i also do cardio 4-6 time per week. i change my workout about every 6-8 weeks. as far as bodyparts, i dont train bodyparts ...i train movements. in one way or another my whole body gets a worked every workout.

You must be in your early 20s to pull off a feat of that remarkable recovery. im actually 27, and i have no problem recovering. its all about managing your volume and lift frequency. when i was oly lifting i'd do 2-a-days for three weeks at a time 6x per week. you cant kill yourself every workout, in fact i rarely worked to failure or even exhaustion on a single lift. i would incure systemic exhaustion at the end of the work out. my body would recove as a system, and i'd go on. i always aproach every workout with the atitude, do as much as possible as fresh as possible.

For me, it takes a while to fully recuperate. I'm not sure if this is a factor of my age, workout intensity or a combo of both. I envy your ability to recuperate that quickly as I hate being away from the weights for too long. ***Go Big or Go Home***

have you tried lowering the wt/reps or both to stay "fresher". alt high volume/low volume. i think if take a look at you volume and intensity and maybe diet maybe once every four weeks or so you hit the gym for high volume wekk and watch you srength soar.

Good suggestion Duck. I'm currently doing the 5x5 heavy weight/intensity rep/workout suggested by Bronc, and perhaps this intensity is what's taking me longer to recuperate from. I think after 8 weeks, I'm going to switch it up. To what, I have no clue, however, this workout progam is kicking my ass. When I was on the gear a few weeks back, my recuperative abilities was amazing, however, since I've been off, just taking me a little longer to get back to a 'fresh' feeling. Would love to hear what the older bros workout regimen is like and how fast they recuperate on and off the gear.
