Hey all,
Is it a good idea to take a week off of training after one is finished with a cycle? Or, should one just switch up their rountine to a lower intensity for a week? I'm thinkin' takin' a week off and then switchen up and lowerin' the intensity for 2 weeks? Thanx --PBB SUVs are tangible evidence that evil exists!

You ain't gonna lose yer gains in a week(Web) and you should lower the frequency to 3days per wk since cortisol will be up, and the gear ain't there to supress it. Try to maintain strength and cut back volume for a few weeks also. Keep calories high and then gradually reduce starting with Carbs. I find taking a little time off after going heavy helps me reach betetr gains. The joints after awhile get a little sore with all of that weight nice to give them some time to heal. Just my 2cents by no means I am a pro at this everyone is a little different.

[/quote] Right as you are coming "down" or "off" your cycle you should lift 2-3 times/week, low volume, heavy weight and intensity. Just go in the gym and hit your compound movements and get out. This will help your body hold on to more muscle and help bring endogenous test levels back up some. |

Thanx all, for the info. For the 2 or 3 weeks after 1 week off I was lookin' at hittin' the weights 4 times a week. I can't really drop it down to 3 times a week (Hate spending that much time per session in the gym) What I was lookin at was 4 Xs a week (2 on; 1 off; 1 on; 2 off), heavy weights/low reps (basic compound movements) and low intensitiy cardio 20 mins/3 times a week.
