Default training 2x per day?

is there anything wrong with training twice a day if the second workout is different from the first?

depends on the routines, split, and rest. Normally, it can be catabolic unless you do it right and eat like crazy with lots of rest throughout the day.

twice a day is too much, overtraining

It depends on the goal. If you are training for a sports specific goal, 2x a day might be ok... but even so, you might only want to do it over a short period of time (to avoid the over training that Mr.X was talking about).

Say if you were a football player - you could --

1. do your weight training in the morning and
2. do your sprint, speed and agility work at night.

For a standard athlete --
1. do your cardiovascular in the morning and
2. do your weight training in the evening.

But like X said, over training is always an issue to keep in mind. Doing something like this for 2-3 weeks probably wouldn't be bad... but then cycle down to 1x a week... for at least a month or so.

i do believe that weight training 2xday could be excessive - but does that apply to cardio as well?
ie interval training (bike) am and walking pm?

what r your goals lols??? what r u training for?? recovery=growth, you need your rest 2x is two much.

i was reading once that kevin levrone does it
AM: very light weights
PM: heavy weights

basically he trains for example chest 2x per day: AM leight weights and PM heavy weights.

honestly i think it is BS and when u are not on juice its a waste of time
