Default help with new routine!!!!

hey guys im new on here, but need some desperate help...i was in some decent shape about 6 months ago, but then i went to college and everything went downhill...i was 6'1 185 with about 10 % bf, but now im at about 6'1 160 12% bf... i really want to get my body back, so i am askind some of the pro's around here for some advice...last routine i followed seriously was anthony ellis's routine(im a ectomorph jus so u know) and i did reasonably well on it...my diet is very inconsistent to be honest i dont have a kitchen i live in the dorms...ive ordered some n large and creatine for when i get back on track....so all the advice ne1 can give would be appreciated...thanks

Hi pear and welcome...

Yup, college will do that. Do you have access to a decent weight room there on campus? The main thing for now is to go there! I'm sure you're busier than you've ever been before, but you really need to block out set days and times when you will lift weights, and you must religiously honor that commitment to yourself.

I'm sure some of the luminaries on the list can offer you hundreds of ideas regarding excellent routines to get you back in the groove. You already know what to do. In the beginning, easy does it, but DO IT. You're going to be sore as hell for the first few weeks, no matter what you do. Get back in the gym. Get your body and your mind into a new habit.

There's a neat little list in the articles forum here called "10 BBing Habits." Read it...excellent stuff.

Couldn't have said it better . Tarzana's right. Number thing is getting back under the bar, but a very close second is nutrition. I understand the lack of adequate cooking space, it sucks, but you can still create quality meals for yourself with a little extra time and effort. I'm finishing school too at the moment and realize the pressures of the added workload. But, believe me the extra investment on your part will go a long way. I laid off my first year of college and it's now three years later and I'm just returning to my prior condition. Trust me bro, check yourself before it goes to far. Sorry for the rant . Basically, get back in the gym ASAP and spend a few extra hours planning your meals. Getting back into these routines will make or break your physique. Best of luck! Check out Mr. X's diets and T-Dwag's cookbook, both have great suggestions and will help you plan your meals. There is a wealth of knowledge on this board, take advantage, research, and grow.

thanks everyone for your input...well right now i got a meal plan to the cafeteria so i can get some sort of food...even thogh it might not be the best thing i jus want to add pounds on....i plan on jus eating 3-4 whole meals with 2 protein shakes(n large)....i am a frat guy(pleding), and i have a grlfriend, so my schedule is very spontanious...so when im ready 2 go back at it, what would be a good routine for me to follow???thanks again

hi again, pear...I really do understand your situation because my twin sons are now sophmores in college. Proper diet can be achieved, but it isn't easy. Do you have a refrigerator in your room? Access to a microwave?

haha i know but i dont want to dedicate all my time to the gym and nutrition...i do have access to both...what do you recomend that i can eat with a microwave???oh and i do not drink milk either...thanks

I don't want you to devote ALL of your time to the gym and/or nutrition either. Obviously, you need to have a regular appointment with yourself at the gym. Obviously, you need to eat more often, something healthier than candy bars from the vending machine.

First things first. When is your appointment with yourself for your next workout?
