Chins bro. Wide grip, parallel grip, narrow grip, etc... Chins or even weighted chins will pack on some meat to the lats. Iron crosses are a possibility, but they are near impossible for a big guy to do.

i agree with the chins, wide grip...for lower lats also include DB rows

Chins, dumbell rows, reverse grip barbell rows and seated cable rows are some of my favorites. If you want a wide back, step away from the lat pulldowns and try some of those...

read SYL's article on back training. i think most peoples problem with back development is what SYL refers to as a "mind / back link". its not how much weight you move but how you move the weight. concentrate on the part of the arm movement from the elbow to the shoulder, try not to use too much bicep. & your enlbows need to move past parrallel of your back. i think that extra squeeze really helps back development

Answer would be guite basic: width; chins(first for reps then with added weight) all kinds of them , thickness ; anything that comes in the form of rows. simple , hah? What makes the difference is definetly the mind/muscle connection ie FEELING the work , not just hammering ultraheavy weights and lot of cheating.....
with your bodyweight the chins might be difficult first but show us there´s more man in u than certain A artwood who claims to be too heavy for them!
A pro bodybuilder full of muscle and low fat% says he´s too heavy for chins...
Too lazy or weak I´d say...

I think mtex hit the nail on the head.It's not about the exercises,it's how you do them.It does little good to do productive exercises like chins and rows if you are jerking about,using momentum and your biceps exclusively.

sorry to report , but I ´just can´t take it! A seasoned bb pro .... Btw there´s a light chance the reporter has misunderstood something since it was a local (Finish) bb mag...... and no I don´t hate anyone for a reason like this.......no offence SYL. Ofcourse someone might have a shoulder injury or something that prevents them from doing chins . Anyway just as most people recommend squats for legs(and for a good reason ) I do the same for chins.... I used to like squats and was quite good with them but after too many back/ hip injuries I decfided it was about the time to say goodbye for them. To make myself clear ; chins are piece of cake compared to squats!
