I think if Zane had trained like Mentzor or Yates,he would have been more muscular,but he had an idea in his mind of how he wanted to look and I think it was that idea that determined things the most.
I believe that Intent is what gets things done.Training and other rituals are mainly to focus your determination and intent.Whatever does that the best will be what you gravitate to,if you are to be successful.Some people may find that using momentum and ballistic movements with heavy weight is what focusses their determination and intent.Others may find slower movements while "concentrating" on the muscle to work better for them.Etc. This I believe to be primary.Secondary to this would be a persons genetic ratio of fast-twitch fibers to slow-twitch fibers,which is of course going to determine whether they are better suited to the pursuit of strength or endurance.My 2 cc.

I think perhaps the young trainees are more likely to let some training type choose them. As yrs pass and experience grows the thing goes vice versa.
Of course there are a few very clever ones who seem to know exactly what suits them from day one but otherwise I think the rest of us have to go the long and windy road of trial and error to get the knowledge what is the thing that góes best with you. Once the head is hit to wall enough and the great light of info happens inside the brains , then it´s YOU who chooses the way and let the others have it their ways... You can never know too much about training or diet so constant info seeking is highly recommended ..... Interesting question though Dial!

I think that your body type should dictate your training style. We all have a different ratio of slow twitch to fast twitch muscle fibers. I think that knowledge should play a bigger part in people determining their workouts than it does.
