Staying Motivated

I have had people ask to be my training partner, and I decline politely. IMO, If you cant work out by yourself, you wont stick with it. You have to have it in you , or it wont work. Results keep me motivated. If I dont see results, then I start to get burnt out. So, I change up my routine.

I don't completely agree with that Stock. If you have a training partner with similar goals I think you can then push each other and achieve those goals easier. Makes training fun too.

I had a great training partner for a few years. We both finished playing rugby at the same time and then lived in the gym. We were both very competitive and always trying outdo each other but at the same time pushing one another to. This training led to some great gains and was very enjoyable. You never wnated to miss a training session as you felt you were going to let your buddy down if you did. Personally I think this is the best atmosphere for training you can have.

Now saying that I also realize getting a partner like that is not an easy task and inevitably is easier for the most part to just train on your own.

Totally agree Access a valuable training partner is probably more impactful than gear, but like you said a great training partner isn't that easy to come across...maybe we can get a board sponsor for some ha ha
