Tell of one of the greatest feelings you've had training?

Mine was when I finally hit 305 on bench at 185 lbs. The next day I went to Cancun feeling like a million dollars. I was walking confidence but never cocky.

Some of my best feelings in the gym:

The first time I bench pressed 400 lbs paused. I felt like I was on top of the world "I was floating for days."

Also, same feeling when I first deadlifted 500 lbs conventional--stood there for at least 10 sec. or so it seemed in awe that I had just lifted five plates per side and did it easily (then I remembered to put the weight down).

Same goes for the first time I squatted 500 lbs comp. style I was stoaked. Now looking for 600 very soon (raw).

Those are my moments... aaaahhh those were the times Many more moments left to be achieved. Barely (yes I'm old but not at heart ) 30 yrs old so I've got some time left.

Squatting 315 when I was about 145-150 lbs....I dint realize I wasnt expected to be lifting that much weight at 17 yrs old just starting out!

Mine was hitting 300 pounds on the flat bench when I was 18. I started off at about 140 pounds at 16 and worked my way up

I was also somewhat a strong little chit when I weighed 135 in 10th grade/wrestled at that time and benched 285 lbs "all natural" baby! couldn't even afford a single supplement ha ha ha

Also, I remember benching 115 lbs and struggling when I got up to 150 lbs Damn! Then it seemed that once I broke through 150 the weights kept going up until I reached 245 and that felt like it was crushing my sternum--stuck there for awhile then went on until the 285 then got stuck again at 325 my senior year weighing approx. 150 lbs.

Some funny chit: I remember trying all the Hammer Strength machines and trying to convince myself they were near the same as free weights in comparison (stupid kid) and I still remember doing Trap Bar deadlifts "instead" of straight bar deadlifts... of course I was stronger using the trap bar and the straight bar skinned my poor little shins... What a wus ha ha ha... Nowadays I seem to look for the hardest exercise and or method at killing myself.

I honestly think that we didnt realize that at that weight we shouldnt have been able to lift what we did. When I squatted 315 with skinney legs in 10th grade these powerliftwrs told me that it was great and good form. That blew it because then I knew I was ahead of where i was supposed to be! Psychological aspect of lifting can be awesome.

No chit man!!! When younger I actually felt invincible... Hell, sometimes I would just jump right onto the bench and start throwing weights around like some crazed little kid...

Now, I'm much older and I'm scarred chitless of ripping a tendon/muscle... and therefore, I start out real, real slow and use the bar to warmup with then pyramid up from there to 95 lbs. then do rotator cuff warmups and everything between for safety reasons... It has been a challenge to stay above 2x my bodyweight on bench once I went over 210 lbs. I believe my current bench is either spot on 2x body weight or under 5 lbs raw. I've got five weeks left in a cycle and will see where I'm at then... would really like to see 450 with a shirt. But I'm really more concerned about focusing my attention on my squat then bench.
