What influenced you to start training??!??!?

I have an older brother that started lifting in high school that got me motivated and believe it of not....watching the Incredible Hulk on Friday nights when I was a youngster.

What did it for you?

It was really my dad. I never had a hero besides my dad in the fitness world. When I was 15 he bought me a weight set. A plan old bench with 300 pounds of weight, a curl bar, and 2 bar dumbells. My dad knew I wanted to do really well in HS football because my dad did as well. He was a giant back in his day standing in at 6'4 350 pounds. Anyways I started lifting solid for about 5 months watching t.v with a curl bar in my hand tossing weights around here and there, and one day I remeber i flexed my guns in the mirror, and i liked what i saw. From that day on I bought wife beaters, and gobbled up the compliments. I remeber my first job I landed when I was 16 was because the size of my arms. No kidding. The job was labor intensive, and I loaded shingles up on a roof carrying them up the ladder. I never measured them back then but I bet they where good 16' . So basically I started lifting because of my dad, and I continue to lift for myself and the self esteem I get from "looking good." There is no better feeling in the world when you see a women ogle at you.

Simply because I was always the skinny kid.
No matter how hard I trained when I was younger, no matter how much weight gainer I consumed, I was still skinny as hell.(so I started taking Goshin-Jitsu) Then when I turned 25ish it all slowed down and I started making gains(and I loved it). Then a couple injuries....and I got fat, now, I want to shred the fat and get huge.

i got my ass kicked by the neighborhood bully when i was 14. he was 18. i had been wrestling since 8. just needed a little more size. when i was 17 and ran into him at a party, *******pow******* lights out after 1 and only 1/2 of the second smart ass word came out of his mouth. ooh yeah so i started training at 14

Theres a gang called the UVF where i come from, they put me in Hospital for a couple weeks, started working out after that so id have Half a chance next time they try anything

a tough place to live where you come from...aren´t things in bit better way violence wise there ? just my euros

nothing special for me. I just dreamed about having a great body ....and still do after all these yrs :doh

yea its alot better than it was, but still a dangerous place.

I started training with my dad when I was 16, now I'm 25 and he is still my lifting partner.
