Shoulder Pain

I have had pain in my left shoulder....pulled it lifting almost 4 months ago. Any suggestions (aside from staying out of the gym) to help me heal quicker or dull the pain during lifts?

4 months is a long time to go with persistant pain. Go see a Orthopedic specialist with emphasis on sports medicine. Some Doctors even specialize specifically on the shoulder. He will xray or even do an MRI to find the problem...Normal soft tissue shoulder pain disappears in a few days...My guess is that you keep re-injuring the soft tissue every time you go back to the gym or there is a significant problem that needs to be addressed by surgery.

I know the injury has been lingering on. A doctor's visit is probably in order. Thanks.
