Default Over Training ...A Myth???

didnt people like arnold train like 5 or 6 hrs a day possibly more.... how did they combat overtraining... and what sorta doseage ya think those guys were on??

I dont think overtraining is a huge concern for 90% of people training. The body can take tons more abuse than most people have the balls to dish out. I think most "overtraining" issues can be solved by modifying,not stopping, workouts,diet, sleep patterns, or work out times and duration. I am constantly amazed by the number of "serious lifters" who dont have a training log and cant tell you what weight the used two heavy squat workouts ago. Overtraining isn't a myth but it is not nearly as prolific as some think

I am currently off cycle (due for another one soon)...
But Man, I have no Idea how some people do it.
I worked my arms 3 days ago, and I am JUST NOW getting over being sore as hell from it (my forearms are still killing me,though). I could never understand why people always say give it 24 hrs.....I am always more sore 2 days after the workout. Maybe I am over-training? Maybe my body has a natural problem with Protein synthesis?

Man, I wish I could work out without over-training.

ive seen myself train my arms 3 or 4 times a week ... but my chest takes a beating when i work it out .. chest is always real sore for about 4 or 5 days ....but i do see a hell of a difference the more i eat after the gym on the pain i recieve the more i eat ( protein ) the less i feel

That's me if I'm scarffing in the protein and calories I tend to feel it less.
