you can, it's always better to rest em longer. They heal better and tend to look better when you rest.

(if you don't get to use the crunch machine at the gym..)

You lock your legs to an object about level with your knees and do situps without letting your back touch the ground fully. Do rocky's.

Switch sides you use to bring yourself up...twist to the alternating sides while lifting your back up. stop about half way...do rocky's

Do the situps switching sides again, stop about an inch off the ground, do rocky's...

Find whatever timing you have best...i find 20 to each side and 50 rocky's total is a damn good workout.

Get too easy to do that? Put an olympic weight to your chest and hold it with your arms by cupping the weight with your elbows...up the weight as necessary. I find its better to let your back touch the ground if you are really trying to push yourself...its the first lift when you have the weights added that gives the extra need for some good pumps.

cable rope crunches are also the shit, but instead of a rope, I use a v-bar.*(nope not a v-bar, forgot what its called but its usually set up at the seated cable row machines) You get a better grip and gives you more of a stretch.

sweet those sounds pretty decent! Do those get the lower abs pretty good I always have trouble hitting them real well.

both techniques will work well for lower abs. when your back is only 1 inch off the ground doing rocky's.....feel the sweet burn on your lower abs...

there's 2 kinds....

One is using your legs to do the situp from your shoulders...

Another is moving your torso from side to side while holding your back at the same incline.

After doing a couple of really good and intense sets of planks (bridge), jack knives, woodchoppers I'm ready to P.U.K.E!!!! But my abs are on fiyah and burn'n blubber... can we say "six pack here I come"!
