Hello all
i'm 42 and just getting back into weightlifting after an acl reconstruction. i'm 5'10 188, 8 of that gained in the last 2 weeks just over-eating and doing nothing but full body workouts mwf; deads, bench, p/ups, squats.for years i followed the 8-10 rep w/outs with minimal gains in size or strength. i was also overtraining i now realize, doing all kinds of isolation exercises on the smaller muscle groups. now i'm keeping it to power movements, 3-5 reps for 4 sets with the heaviest weight i can manage. i wish i'd started this years ago. especially deads!
