Default training pre surgery

for those of you that know me, i have been going thru depression. i didnt g2 the gym for over a month, didnt eat, had insomnia and lost 20lbs. however, the past 2 weeks my hunger has been coming back and i have been hitting the gym. i went from 185ish down to 165ish. Im back in the gym enjoying every minute of it.

however today i just remembered that im getting surgery done in my scrotum bc i have enlarged veins on the left side :/ The operation isnt until the end of December, but the recovery takes a month.

Im concerned that if I continue working out up to the surgery and hopefully get back up to 185 (which i doubt), that by the end of recovery ill lose another 20lbs and be just back were im at TODAY (august 19). which makes me look at these next 4/5 months will be wasted.




any advice???

It is called muscle memory. Believe it or not, once your body goes up to a certain weight it is much easier to get back to that point the next time around. Also keep in mind that just because you have sx on your nuts does not mean you can't work out at all. Unless they cut them off and you turn into a complete wuss!

You may not be able to do large compound movements because of the stress load it will put on that area/blood flow if you will. But you could still be doing things like calf training, even leg extension and maybe leg curls as well as upper body movements.

you need to focus on your diet. Get those calories in and make sure you are taking at least 1.5grams of protein per lb of body weight a day! You can maintain the weight! Sure you might lose a few lbs but there is no reason for you to lose 20!

If I were you, I would be more concerned about how long it would be that I was not allowed to have sex!
