Report Josh Barnett tests positive -Fedor Emelianenko fight at Affliction 3

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett submitted a “positive test” prior to his much anticipated title fight against Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction: “Trilogy” from the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., on Aug. 1, according to Sherdog.com.

The report indicates that the promotion is currently scrambling to find a replacement to challenge arguably the best heavyweight fighter on the planet on just one week’s notice. Affliction Vice President Tom Atencio could not be immediately reached for comment.

Middleweight Vitor Belfort, a former light heavyweight who is already booked to fight Jorge Santiago in a 185-pound contest on the same night, has reportedly agreed to step in if needed. And Bobby Lashley has apparently been approached about filling in; however, he seems reluctant based on the remarks attributed to him in the report.

The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) will apparently issue a “comprehensive statement” on its findings later today.

And barnett , Well its shamefull because you get to fight the best fighter in the world and you go and screw that up ?
