while I am talkin about MMA fighting

I checked out a new martial arts place that teaches mixed martial arts right now my girls are in Karate. do you guys think it would be a good or bad idea to switch classes. The kids in the mma class really seemed to be having alot more fun

I do MMA and the kids classes at our gym are great. It's a lot more fun and much less regimented, but still structured enough to teach them discipline and obedience. I would definitely check it out. Sit in on a few classes for the adults and watch the kids class. They usually let you sit in for free for at least one class. Check it out...

I like it way more - but i've only done karate for 8 years before doing mma.

I did sit in on one so far and I really liked it.

Traditional karate sucks...get them into the MMA classes ASAP! Better for self-defense, and better conditioning-wise too.

that is what I thought. it traditional karate seems to hand around too much on tradition.and one of the reasons I wanted them in martial arts is to improve their athletics and exercise

That traditional dojo shit should stay in Japan where it belongs.

I watched the kids there using Pugil(sp) sticks. and this little kid, about 3 foot tall just take it too another older kid about 13. it was awsome

Get em' into the grappling boogt....it works every muscle in the body and is a hell of a cardio workout as well.
