Hey Rick,
If you don't mind me asking, what is your current age and body measurements?

I'll be 62 in July. I really have never measured but I tried on 3 jackets yesterday that I wore when I was competing and supposedly BIG, and they're really tight in the shoulders and arms. Everyone says I look leaner, but in reality I must be bigger. Bodyshape changes as you age, but I still have abs and weigh about 224. It gets tougher as you get older. The diet is important and I really haven't changed that since the beginning. What did happen are some injuries from wrestling. I tore both triceps, one head completly off and nver had it reattached, the other head on my left arm it was a partial tear in the middle so my triceps look a little different. I have somewhat of a frozen shoulder from wrestling and arthritis but I work thru it. Both quads ruptured and I had to have them re-attached but I'm training legs hard and heavy. They just don't have the insertion above the knee like they used to. I think the Dr. reattached them about an inch higher.

You seem to weight about the same as I . Only you are much leaner... I wished I was as lean when (if) I reach 62.... Mirror and scale together tells the story . No real need for mesuraments if not just for fun....IMO.

I think the consistancy of training and the steady eating habits of hi protein , low carb are the key to this. I also vary my workouts. Changing exercises every session. Try it. Also take 1/2 cc of test a week along with, vanadyl, argenine/ornathine, l carnitine, dhea and whey protein. But, that's about it.
Actually that sounds like a lot doesn't it? haha, its not

In my experience eating clean ( or close to it ) most of the time is among the biggest factor in having / maintaining a solid body. It´s so easy to gain fat while thinking "it´s added mass , I´m getting bigger". Months will pass and oll of a sudden one realizes being 20-30 lbs overweighed. it´s guite simple . If you use the calories you consume the bf % remains more or less the same ( age is a factor in this as well). eat more and you´ll gain weight( not neccesarily muscle).
Carbs are not that much needed in evening. It´s only fuel you will not need when sleeping....
I shed some 15-20 lbs two yrs back . Realizing the fact I´m fat wasn´t a pleasant surprise. Now I try to stay around 225.....
A local bbuilder at national level had a few yrs lay off from competition. I saw pics of him during that time and wondered why he had allowed to gain fat so much. He was training for strength for bench comps and such . The usual stuff : train heavy , eat a lot and grow.... However when he competed a few months ago he looked SMALLER than few yrs back! That he admitted himself too...... He looked so much better before ( was nicknamed as "Flex " after Flex Wheeler..) Now he was just a disaster . wHAT A WASTE.
