Hatton v Mayweather

I work with some Brits and a Scott who know a little about boxing (the Scottish guy started training at 14 and has been a boxing trainer). They tell me this isn't gonna be a fight where Mayweather can sit back an hold the title on points. Hatton will take the fight to him if he tries it. I'm not sure who'll win, Mayweather has to be the favorite, but I won't miss it. I hope they're right, and it turns into a classic. If I had any spare cash (haha I don't) I'd go ahead and put it on Hatton. Fight of the century? Saying that would be a little ridiculous but Mayweather is without a doubt the current pound 4 pound champ and this is a time when he will have to truly defend his title, I'm starting to get excited...

Hatton will win, mayweather might look better in a pair of shorts or even have a bigger house but hatton doesnt let anyone walk over him

They are both great fighter. Mayweather indeed has the will and the expereince and I will say that he will be very ready for this fite. Now who will win not sure as hatton is a very technical fighter with agility and he's smart. But mayweather hes a fighter and he can win in almost in situation. Tough to call but a good one no doubt.

I'm really pulling for Hatton now, getting excited about the fight. Mayweather is a great fighter in the ring though and a big ask of Hatton. Hatton is hilarious though, said his father is like 4'7" and looks like he just jumped off a key ring and even better after Mayweather called him fat he responded that his trainer asked him to get on the rowing machine to cut some weight, and it sank. Great guy too, seems not to have let success change him. Now I just need to find a place open at 8 am Sunday morning so I can see it live...

Hope so Gator. Lennox Lewis supposedly told Hatton to win he had to KO before the end of the 4th, but I think he can last longer too.

Well Hatton was knocked out, think it was the 9th round. He looked damn good early on, but the ref was so biased he had me thinking he was paid by Mayweathers camp. In the end though I don't think the ref had much to do with it. Mayweather was just better. Not a hell of a lot better, and not better in every round, but I would guess he could beat Hatton any day. I'm not too disappointed though, it was a good fight. Hatton pressured him and they went at it every minute of the fight. Well done guys!! Just sorry Hatton couldn't pull it off.

That sucks. They both come out with like 20 million so not bad for goin 9 rounds.

yeah that ref was horrible, i really think he kept hatton from fighting his in-close fight in the early rounds and the point he took from hatton for the back of the head punch was crap, mayweather fights a third of is fights with his back turned and was turning his back as a defense. i'm real disappointed but i always am with boxing, the judges only gave hatton one round by the cards. and i think anyone who watched the fight and has a clue would have given hatton at least three rounds if not four or five. mayweather won and talked like he wont fight in 2008 and might retire. just glad i have plenty of scotch for my sarrows.
