    Ok, I know squat when it comes to what works for females. My friend is looking to lose 40lbs or so, and having a ***** of a time doing so. To the best of my knowledge, for the past 6 weeks she has been dieting. On a daily basis she consumes roughly 1200 calories, with the majority of that being from proteins. Again, as far as I know, she doesn't really stray from that. She take a fitness class 3 days a week. In the 6 weeks, she has lost 14lbs. Now for the past 3 weeks, she hasn't lost anything, in fact she has added a couple pounds.

    Can someone suggest to me what her diet should consist of, in the form of how many calories, grams of protein, grams of carbs, and grams of fat? She's extremely discouraged, and really would like some help. Thanks

    age, current weight, goal weight? also, what kind of workout & cardio is she doing?

    She's 33, 5'1, 180lbs. Would like to be 150 or less. She takes a crossfit style class 3 days a week, some eliptical work thrown in on the off days.
