if your pinning in the ass i would at least get a 1 inch. depending on what your BF is at some use 1.5 inch.

1 inch to 1 1/2 inch is best

It depends on what your shooting? For oil based stuff you can use 23g, water based stuff you can use 25g or 27g. I use 1.5" needles for glutes to really get into deep muscle tissue where the uptake is more efficient.

I use 21g-1.5 in, but my test is pharmaceutical grade. 1.5 inch for glutes works well for me.
