Thread: Time on vs Time off

    Interesting thread so far.

I am not on TRT...yet LOL. That is why I want to talk about this as I don't believe it has been discussed enough, well in great depth anyway. It is always said that you should take of what you were on for 12 weeks = 12 weeks and the reasons are simple but I have never read anything anywhere about those who have not followed this protocol and is now on TRT.

I have however read a heap of threads from guys who have been on 3 yrs + solid and are wondering how to come off etc etc...how are these guys doing now? I never seem to be able to find the results. As stupid as this sounds for some I like test so much that I am having a battle with myself right now as to if I should clean up or risk being on forever (prescribed). My natural test levels have never done anything for me positively however a small dose at 300mg makes me operate efficiently...500mg even better, but I am not greedy.

See I just wonder how many of you here have actually considered this as a permenent thing? I understand we all want the muscles and strength etc etc but for some of us it brings a certain level of clarity and normality and I am not talking about stacking every damn thing plus 1 gram of test each week LOL I am talking about merely living on 250mg and when you want to boost a little maybe run 600-750mg for 10-12 weeks as you would a normal cycle.

I am going to see a specialist about this and ask him the same questions as soon as I can. I know I 'should' go and put all my preloaded gear back into the vials and just be done with it for now and clean up, then come back again and run a guilt free cycle, but like it has been said before I think we all run this risk and deem it acceptable to an extent and we are walking a fine line between short term and long term anyway....so who am/are I/we kidding?

See the reason I am a little annoyed is that I have only done 4 cycles and this may have been enough to mess shit up. OK I have made mistakes as far as time on time off etc but this can happen to anyone at anytime really. I do the right thing, how many of us don't and are going to be unbeknownst to them, screwed anyway? I know for a fact that alot of the guys here have done at least 2-3 times that in cycles and with more gear for longer. Thats why I ask, just to see who is in in for the long haul and who is actually sticking to the rules.

I think it really depends on your goals bro.

Have you seen Barry Bonds today when he threw out the first pitch. He's lost probably 40lbs!

    Sorry for the ADD.

Thats the thing isn't it.....I spoke with two pro mates last night and they both laughed when I told them about my levels. In their book that was normal and to be expected. They have been sitting on levels like that for a long time, so yeah didn't bother them. But what they did say which I found interesting was that they honestly believe that when they are done with competition they will finish up on the gear and accept the fact they will lose weight and strength and just be normal dudes. Funny thing is I know one of them has been on for 12 years at least...I think he is seriously kidding himself.

Whats an ADD? Sorry not down with the tech jive ha ha

TRT is probably not a life time deal. I've been planing on putting myself on a ttrt regimen when I finish this current cycle. It's cheaper to buy underground and not have to deal withthe doctor.
But my thinking is that just because you don't juice any more does not necessarily mean you have to lose strength nad size. Maybe a bit at first when you first come off, but it should be able to be gained back naturally since most of the loss will be water weight. I actually gained 7 pounds between last cycle and current one.
Will I lift weights till I die or become incapacitated? I sure hope so. Will I lift heavy till I can't lift any more? Probably not. At some point I will go itro maintenance mode, just trying to keep what I have.

Yeah but if you get it through the doc then at least you know you are in good hands and the shit is real for a start. Then you have the positives of constant monitoring etc. It's win win.

There will be a time when we all need to face facts and slow down but that is not in my agender for quite a few years yet. When I'm old and had it I'll run test and HGH and try and keep some form of normality.

The only problem with hgh is that if you have any cancerous tumors it will greatly accelerate their growth. Of course steroids probably would also.
